Cleaning Computer Componets

It is vital to clean computer components as dusty components can cause health and safety hazards and poor system performance. A dusty computer case will make the computer overheat and reduce performance. Overheating can also cause components to burn which could be dangerous.

The picture shows the cleaning of inside the computer. This is the most important part to clean as it contains parts moving parts which can get hot. To clean these it is best to use compressed air and a soft brush and make sure all the dust is removed from key components. The vents at the back must also be clear as these expel air. Be careful not to damage any delicate parts as this could break the computer.

Key components to clean are also user interaction device (keyboard, mouse etc). These are used by everyone who uses the computers  so get very dirty and can carry germs. The keyboard should be cleaned inbetween all keys and wiped to remove grease.

  1. Indeed! Keeping your computer system dust-free would let it function better, avoiding instances of overheating or, worse, systems crash. But before you clean your PC, you should check the warranty policy that comes with your unit. Some contracts advise you from opening the case. If you do so, the agreement would be rendered void. You should also be careful in touching the more sensitive parts such as the motherboard and the power supply. Those parts are the hardest to repair (and the most expensive), if problems occur.
